I recently shot a social media campaign for SITA NYC starring Kelly Rutherford. For those of you that don’t know Kelly is an actress known for her role as Lily van der Woodsen from “Gossip Girl”.
For this social media campaign the client SITA NYC wanted:
-Portraits of Kelly
-Video interviews of Kelly
-Stills and videos of the clothing
This shot list presented a new challenge: I would focus on Kelly while delegating the other tasks. Fortunately, I have some great creative friends to call on. I pulled in Maestro Filmworks again for video and fashion photographer Andrew Morales for still lifes.
SITA NYC’s slogan is Don’t Change. I was tasked with showing how the clothing can be worn in various environments.
SITA came up with names for these scenarios:
Prive: This would be Kelly relaxing at home
Affairs: Kelly would be handling business as an actress reading over scripts
Leisure: Our talent would be relaxing after a workout at her favorite gym
Downtown: This last look showcases the clothing dressed up an evening out the town
With budget and time constraints we couldn’t be running the city in sprinter vans to multiple locations. We were able to find great studio space that could cover all our needs. Village Studio SoHo had everything we need for this production.
With all our ducks in order, the only thing left to do was execute. I hope you enjoy the final images and videos from this exciting project. I would love to hear your comments and thoughts about this project.
