Recently, we had the opportunity to collaborate with Maestro Filmworks on a compelling commercial photography assignment for Fox Chase Cancer Center, a leading healthcare facility dedicated to cutting-edge cancer treatment, research, and compassionate patient care.
The Assignment: Capturing Hope, Expertise, and Compassion
The goal of this project was to create authentic, emotionally resonant visuals that reflect Fox Chase Cancer Center’s mission, highlighting their world-class medical team, state-of-the-art facilities, and the supportive environment they provide for patients and families. These images would be used across marketing campaigns, websites, and social media to inspire trust and connection.
Our Approach
Commercial photography in healthcare—especially in oncology—requires sensitivity, professionalism, and a deep understanding of the subject. Here’s how we approached the shoot:
1. Pre-Production Planning
Understanding the Brand: We worked closely with Maestro Filmworks and Fox Chase Cancer Center to ensure the imagery aligned with their values of innovation, empathy, and excellence.

Lighting & Tone: To maintain a balance between clinical precision and warmth, we used soft, natural lighting to create an inviting yet professional atmosphere.
2. Authentic Storytelling
Rather than staged shots, we focused on real moments—oncologists reviewing scans, nurses offering comfort, researchers at work, and patients interacting with staff. These genuine scenes help convey the humanity behind the science, making the center relatable to those seeking care.
3. Attention to Detail
From advanced medical technology to comforting touches like family waiting areas, we ensured every detail reinforced Fox Chase Cancer Center’s commitment to cutting-edge care and patient well-being.
